项目B, 由AHEC发起, will upgrade the aging heating and air conditioning systems in the Central and West classroom buildings starting from Spring Break 2024. Contractors will replace outdated equipment, necessitating closure of both buildings from March 16 until early August. This closure affects 68 classrooms, over 110 faculty and staff offices, and the relocation of various academic departments and programs.

The project, aimed at minimal operational disruption, is scheduled for completion by August 2024. With nearly 80% of 密歇根州立大学丹佛 students having classes in these buildings, adjustments have been made to accommodate the impacted courses. Faculty and staff will begin relocating from Central and West buildings after March 1, with planning underway to facilitate the moves.
项目期间, displaced faculty and staff will primarily occupy a temporary office space on the first floor of the Tivoli Student Union. Additionally, designated offices for advising and meetings will be available nearby. Dean’s offices for CHHS, CLAS, and the 教育学院 will also relocate temporarily.
Efforts are underway to establish a central point of contact for students seeking assistance from displaced academic departments throughout the spring semester and into the summer. Further details on these arrangements will be provided later in the semester.
